Where the methodology came from
I was writing publicly about execution failure patterns — Shift Left, AI displacement, quality degradation, the invisible failures that show up in release delays and adoption gaps — while still employed as a Staff SDET. That was before it was my business. The writing was the early signal.
The pattern I kept seeing: orgs adopting tools and processes faster than they could absorb them. Quality and accountability degraded quietly in the gap. Leadership couldn't trace the cause. The failures were structural, not individual.
PivotWorks is the formalization of that pattern recognition into a prevention practice. The methodology has receipts: Medium articles, the Shadow QA framing, and a long-running focus on what breaks when execution systems can't keep up with ambition.

Mobile engineering at scale with no test infrastructure foundation — hour-long builds, flaky CI, manual quality gates. I learned what happens when orgs try to ship to millions of users without the execution layer to support it. The fix wasn't more features; it was building the foundation first.

How I work
Most of the changes that matter in these engagements happen without org chart authority — driving process, tooling, and architectural changes by building trust across teams. I've seen engagements where the most lasting change came from taking the time to explain the why, not just the what, so that the people closest to the problem became the team's advocates. That kind of influence doesn't show up on an org chart.
I operate from a simple principle: meet people where they are. No blame-storming, no surprise audits — clear diagnosis and options so teams can choose the fix that fits their context.
